Most Network Marketers know how valuable a tool Skype is for building their MLM Businesses.
Skype is free to download and free to use between Skype users. Skype talk minutes are around 2 cents a minute to landlines anywhere in the world, so what’s there to lose?
Network Marketers network with other people from around the globe. We make new connections every day with people we do not know personally.
There is a courteous way to make a Contact Request on Skype that should always be followed.
Everybody who uses the internet to do business knows the web is teaming with hackers and crooks waiting to have the fun of crashing your computer or stealing your personal information.
All it takes is having one of your contacts getting hacked, or you friending a hacker, to send out messages containing a link that look like they are from you or your friend. Once you click the link, you have just opened the door to a virus, Trojan horse, worm or other malicious software entering your hard drive.
Here are the Rules to Follow when Sending a Contact Request
- Always include your full name
- Tell how you know them…same company, on Twitter or Facebook, another blogger
- Replace their user name with their real first name in the message
Simple? Yes it is. It is simple to do and simple not to do. But at least if you take the time and courtesy to send a contact request like this, the recipient will know instantly who you are and that you are a safe contact.
Because of the recent hacking attacks on Skype, I ignore all contact requests that don’t tell me where I know the person from. I don’t have time to go searching the web to find out who someone is, and neither does anyone else.
So, remember to take the time to be courteous when making Skype Connection Requests for your MLM business. It will pay off in the long run with more legitimate contacts.
