Everybody has distributors join their organization who get discouraged.
Maybe they have tried talking to family and friends and have failed.
Or maybe they have worked online at social networking and have failed.
Whatever it is, when people fail, and they fail for too long, it is very difficult for them to stay active in their MLM distributorship. Not many new distributors are successful at sponsoring new partners in their first 30 days, 60 days or even 90 days.
Unfortunately, if distributors do not have the correct mindset, they quit. If they join another MLM, they often repeat the quit-opp/hop cycle. Sponsors know you can’t make people have belief and staying power.
People can only motivate themselves.
However, as Leaders, our job is to inspire, to educate and be consistent. Leaders don’t quit. Leaders Plan-Do-Review-Adjust on a daily basis. If something isn’t working at 100% expectations with the leads system, marketing activities, or company, Leaders adjust and stick with it.
It is this Persistence Attitude that the only way you truly fail is to quit, that inspires others.
I love following Art Jonak‘s teachings. He is one of my mentors who has achieved that incredible, extra-ordinary success everybody is talking about and dreaming of.
In his recent Newsletter, Art shared Orjan Saele‘s tip on
How to Help Your Distributor Overcome Failure:
So what if your first six months might be bad, or
if you have some embarrassing failures. So how long did it take you to learn to talk?
To learn to drive?
It took a while, and there were some embarrassing
failures, but now you enjoy the benefits of talking
and driving.It was worth it.
Success in Network Marketing is well worth it. Is it easy to do? NO! It takes developing habits and the mindset that Successful people have learned are necessary to get what they want.
Everybody knows that Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he finally succeeded at the light bulb. He was friends with Henry Ford, who had no formal education.
One of my favorite movies is the Pursuit of Happyness, a true story about Chris Gardner. If you are feeling a little down about your MLM failures, I recommend watching this movie. I am always cheering for Gardner at the end, who succeeded when he persisted in reaching for the impossible.
So you ask, “How do I help my distributor overcome failure?” You inspire and educate. Offer support and a team. Lead them to skills trainings in Leadership, Marketing and Personal Development.
And remember, people will always come and go. There will always be distributors who quit and opp-hop. All you can do for those folks is wish them well and let them know your door is always open.
Focus most of your energies on the people who are holding tight to their dreams and working on building their organizations in your team.
- Some people get into companies they love but haven’t found the the lead generation system that works for them.
- Some people don’t know how to train their teams without breaking the bank.
- Some people have found out how to train their teams for free with the Success In 10 Steps training program and how to use the affordable Mentoring For Free Pro system to generate leads.
