Here’s what happened to one of my mentors, Michael Dlouhy, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year.
Yes its true. Vitamark International has closed its doors! Effective August 1, 2012 Vitamark will close and begin the process of merging with the MLM company It Works! Global.
Changes for the Better at It Works! Global
There are many reasons Network Marketing companies close.
The bottom line is that the company is not having enough growth and momentum.
One of the Five Pillars is Timing in the Industry.
Not only should a company have passed the early failure test (survived at least 2 years), but the products need to be timely with current trends.
Unless you already came from a public speaking or sales background, you probably are winging it when it comes to communicating with your network marketing prospects.
In today’s automated lifestyle, we have come to rely too heavily on electronic means of communication. We email and invite people to sign up for our RSS feeds and free stuff to get into our autoresponder lists. That way we can avoid having to talk to people.
There’s an old saying, People are only afraid of what they do not understand or do not know.
Yellows may be intimidated by a Red and have no idea of what to say.
Greens pull out their hair talking to Blues trying to get a word in edgewise!

When most people get started in Network Marketing, they are told to do what their sponsor does. Or they should follow the company training.
That’s all fine, but what if what your sponsor or company does doesn’t gel with your personality or interests? What if you’re a more reserved green personality and your sponsor is an outgoing blue personality?
That might never work!
So, what Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter recommends is that as sponsors we need to make sure our teammates are focusing on duplicating our results, not merely duplicating our activities.
What activities a person uses to generate leads needs to
first, be proven methods currently used to find people to talk to, and
second, connect in some way to your passion & interests.

I know exactly how you feel because for a long time I felt exactly the same way. When I analyzed it I found that everything I said to prospects were just words!
OK, so that may seem a little strange, of course we talk with words. But in business sales (yes, network marketing is selling) we can’t talk in words, we must learn to talk in pictures.

When I signed up for my first mlm company, their training consisted of making a list of 100 people I knew, then calling them.
That was the worst experience of my life!
I was just starting out and I had no skills. The rejection felt awful!

They call their family and friends, thinking they will be really excited too, only to be turned down, or worse, be made fun of.
